If you haven't been to the International Peace Garden in a while, this is the summer to go.

That from Connie Lagerquist, head horticulturist at the Garden.

She notes the high moisture and high humidity have really made the flowers explode out on the grounds.

"We're very pleased with how the way things are looking," said Lagerquist. "We've had a lot of really nice, positive comments on the way the flowers look and the way the grounds are looking. We've touched up on some areas that we haven't touched up on on quite some time."

She says they are growing a lot of flowers on a trial basis this year, which is great for home gardeners who want to come down and see how they look.

There are well over 100,000 flowers planted at the International Peace Garden this year.
