The La Riviere Canadian Pacific Railway Station (Archilbald Museum), has been transported to Manitou where it will be restored and displayed on Main Street North.The building dates back to 1898, fifteen years after the Canadian Pacific Railway completed its main line through Manitoba (Heritage Site Link). Like other train stations, this one was built systematically, at a seven-mile interval down the rail line, and was central to Nellie McClung's travels as a public speaker and social justice advocate at the time, travelling by train to Winnipeg and all across Southern Manitoba. 

The move happened Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, at 10:30 am, by Boundary Trails Railway Company, (Led by Travis Long), and accompanied by Manitoba Hydro.
