A credit union in Western Manitoba has made a donation to Ukrainian relief efforts.

Westoba Credit Union this week approved a donation of $10,000.

“The conflict doesn’t really impact us locally in terms of sanctions and those things. However we certainly have many members and employees with ties to Ukraine and we’re very supportive of those people” said Westoba’s President and CEO Jim Rediger.

“This is our way of showing support to the people and what’s happening in the Ukraine.”

Rediger adds here in Canada things like inflation will impact all of us and we’ll have to come to grips with having to deal with that.
