Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine

On December 8, 2023, at 1:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Van Horne.  Police observed drugs within the vehicle and an investigation into the three occupants ensued.

One of the occupants, a 23-year-old female, was to abide by a daily curfew and was arrested.  Upon her arrest police found her to be in possession of illicit drugs, including cocaine and meth.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

A 36-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.  He will appear in court today on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Property obtained by Crime.

A 26-year-old female was arrested and later released to appear in court on March 14, 2024, on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possess Proceeds of Crime.

Police seized approximately 13 grams of cocaine in total, 5 grams of meth, cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia. 

 

IPDA

On December 7, 2023, at approximately 3:30 pm, police observed a male attempting to flip over a bench in the 1100 block of 10th street.  The 15-year-old male was highly intoxicated and in no condition to be on his own.  Police were unable to locate any adult who would care for him, so he was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On December 8, 2023, at approximately 1:00 am, police came across a highly intoxicated female in the 700 block of Southern Ave.  The 23-year-old was in no condition to care for herself, and there was no one to look after her.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On December 8, 2023, shortly before 5:00 am, police responded to a report of a male knocking on doors and ringing doorbells in the 200 block of Douglas Street.  Police located an intoxicated 27-year-old male in the area.  He was in no condition to care for himself, and he had nowhere to go.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Breach of the Peace

On December 7, 2023, at approximately 3:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a business in the 700 block of Rosser Ave.  A 39-year-old male client at the business who was becoming aggressive with employees and refusing to leave.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to prevent the continuation of his behavior.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On December 7, 2023, at 9:30 am, police responded to a residence following a report of a 33-year-old male being there contrary to release conditions not to have contact with the homeowner.  The male was located within and arrested.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and appeared in court on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order X2.

 

Arrest Warrants

On December 7, 2023, a 24-year-old male attended Brandon Police Service as he was aware that he was the subject of an arrest warrant.  Following his arrest, he was released to appear in court on January 4, 2023, on a charge of Fail to comply with Release Order.
