Brandon's 32nd Folk, Music and Art Festival gets underway Friday night under the trees on the southeast corner of the Keystone Centre Grounds.

Artistic Director Shandra MacNeill says the festival is a tradition that's been going on for over three decades.

“We're celebrating a long line of community involvement and support, so that's exciting,” she commented. “We have two full days and three nights of fantastic music coming people's way”

MacNeill says they'll have a family area set up, which will allow kids and adults to hear the music, while making crafts and enjoying other activities.

She notes attendance usually depends on the weather, adding they could see up to four thousand people over the weekend if the weather is good.

Musician Ron Sexsmith will highlight the Friday night concert.

The event is made possible with the help of about 100 volunteers.
