NDP supporters in the Brandon-Souris Riding are still waiting to see who there candidate will be for the October 19th election.

Association President Garnet Boyd isn't hitting the panic button becuase it is such a long campaign. "We nomrally take about 35 days to campaign so if we have someone in place by early September we will be fine."

Boyd adds there has been some interest from people wanting their name on the NDP's nomination ballot.

Boyd says a second person has applied to enter the nomination race and they awaiting to hear from national office if that person will be allowed onto the ballot.

"We hope to hear this weekend on that issue and hope to set our nomination meeting as soon as possible" said Boyd.
