Grade 1-2 teacher, Mrs. Penny Wallace, entered her class at Oak Lake Community School in CJRB's I Love to Read in the Classroom Contest!

Mrs. Wallace and her 18 students enjoy reading books of many varieties, and she's come up with some great ideas to encourage her students to pick up a good book!

"One incentive we use is a reading log to track how many books and the levels we go up!" shares Mrs. Wallace. "We also write our own class book at this time of the year to show off our fantastic reading, writing and art skills!"

"They not only read with me each day," she adds, "they also read with our EA and our volunteer every Monday, whom they adore!"

Congratulations to Mrs. Wallace and her students as they are just one of our winners in our annual contest during the month of February, I Love to Read in the Classroom!'

All the best to the students and staff at Oak Lake Community School!
