One of the earliest villages to be established in the West Reserve celebrated its 140th anniversary Saturday. Reinland is located southeast of Winkler, and at its peak, was considered a bustling centre of the West Reserve.

With that backdrop, the Manitoba Mennonite Historical Society launched its latest book. The Outsiders’ Gaze: Life and Labour on the West Reserve 1875-1922 was written by Jake Peters, Adolf Ens and Eleanor Chornoboy.
