The Brandon Home & Leisure Show was held at Keystone Centre in Brandon this past weekend with a fairly good turnout from Friday evening through to Sunday evening.

Vendors were pleased to see a steady stream of attendees pass by, stop by and ask more about their products.

However, an unfortunate conflict of events was the Winnipeg home show was on the same weekend, where some vendors were unable to attend the Brandon one as they were already committed to the larger show in Winnipeg.

This year's event was hosted by the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba.  Event coordinator, Mordecai Chiwaula, says he was very pleased with the turnout and is eager to see more vendors come on board for next year's show.

"This was a great show for my first show," shares Chiwaula. "So, I'm excited that there was a lot of turnouts even though we need a lot more vendors next year and more attendees. So, we're putting the word out there that we're on it!  I'm hoping it will grow for next year!"

Sponsorship Coordinator, Drew Clayton, says the Home and Leisure Show is always a great show, but they still felt some of the effects of the Covid closures.

"Two years out of the pandemic, obviously we're still trying to grow out from that," shares Clayton, "and we can always use more exhibitors in the building to help get more people through and see what they want to see.  I think the people who have gone through the show this year have enjoyed what they've seen.  I think for his first show Mordecai did a great job!"
