The owner of a lawn care business in Minto says 2015 will be a busier year.

Gerald Bos of Turtle Mountain Lawn and Landscape says the Province of Manitoba's pesticide ban will impact how he does business and what customers pay.

“They have limited the chemicals we can use. They have come up with a whole different set of chemicals that work in a different way than from what we are used to using each year.”

Bos says he'll have to make more passes over a yard and that means an increase in billing fees.

Boss says he'll be using a new mixture of allowable chemicals to replace the old standards like 2-4-D and Target.

Boss says his workers are just gearing up for the busy season. He has about 450 customers in several communities like Minto, Boissevain, Killarney and Deloraine.
