2011 was another successful year for Boissevain and the Communities in Bloom program.
National awards were handed out this past weekend in Quebec City. Mayor Ed Anderson attended the event and said Boissevain was recognized for its farmers' market.

Farmers' Market this summer

Mayor Anderson was thrilled the town once again picked up the maximum 5 blooms. He says ity's a goal they try to reach each and every year in the competition.

Anderson says Boissevain got into the bloom program to help attract tourists. He says there's no doubt more people have come to town and it has has paid off with more businesses starting up because of the traffic flow.
