The province's COVID-19 active case count surpassed 500 Saturday with 65 new cases identified as of 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning. 56 of those were in the Winnipeg RHA, with three each in Southern Health-Santé Sud, Prairie Mountain and Interlake-Eastern. There are now 545 active cases in Manitoba, 456 of those in Winnipeg health region, with the total case number in the province now 1,829. The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 2.3 per cent.

The data also shows:
- 545 active cases and 1,265 individuals have recovered from COVID-19;
- there are 12 people in hospital and six people in intensive care; and
- the number of deaths due to COVID-19 is 19.

In Saturday's update, officials also advised of possible exposure at Del Rios Restaurant, 644 Main Street in Winkler, September 16th between 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The following possible exposures were also announced:

- Joey's Polo Park, 653 St. James St. Winnipeg - Sept. 16: 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.;
- The Local Public Eatery, 274 Garry St, Winnipeg - Sept 17: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.;
- Bar Italia, 737 Corydon Ave Winnipeg - Sept 16: 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.;
- P. F. Chang's Restaurant, 865 St James St, Winnipeg - Sept. 12: 5 p.m. to 10. p.m., Sept. 16 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sept. 17: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Meanwhile, A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. The site is moving to Critical (red) on the #RestartMB Pandemic Response System.

Public health officials have advised the following schools about possible exposures:

-R.J. Waugh Elementary School in Carberry on Sept. 21: a positive COVID-19 case on a bus;
-Carberry Collegiate in Carberry on Sept. 21: one grade is being transitioned to remote learning as of Sept. 28 for up to 14 days; and
-John W. Gunn Middle School in Winnipeg from September 16 to 18: based on the public health investigations, the exposure was assessed to be low risk and the infection was not acquired at school.
-St. John's Ravenscourt School in Winnipeg on Sept. 14 and Sept. 16: based on the public health investigations, the exposure was assessed to be extremely low risk and the infection was not acquired at school;
