The founder of Small Farms Manitoba is hitting the road this summer, in an effort to meet new farmers who have joined the directory since it launched last year.

Kalynn Spain says she'll be travelling across the province, going as far north as Swan River.

She notes the on-line directory is gaining in popularity.

"Small Farms Manitoba is growing since its launch last year. It's gone from about 80 farms to 120 farms right now. So I'm off on the road this summer to meet those new farmers and get to know them."

Spain adds she will be sharing her experiences with Manitobans through the social media outlets of Small Farms Manitoba.

She's hoping to raise $5,000 to fund expenses such as gas, meals, and vehicle repairs.
