Manitoba hemp crops look good, with harvest having wrapped up in the last month.

Shaun Crew, president and CEO of Hemp Oil Canada says this year yields are looking average to above average, with bumper crops in some areas of the province.

"We've had two years previously, in 2013 and 2014, that were both very strong and it looks like 2015 will follow suit," he says. "Harvest has just been completed in the last month, so we don't know until seed is dried and clean the exact number, but by all indications, we're going to have average to above average yield."

Crew says they didn't see many harvest issues, noting that sclerotinia can affect hemp plants, but this year wasn't a problem.
