A Manitoban was among the five inductees to go into the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame this past weekend in Regina.

The Late E. Ward Jones will be especially remembered for his role in the development of 4-H across Canada, as co-founder of the precursor to 4-H clubs in Manitoba. He made tremendous contributions to the ag industry during his short 48-year life.

Other nominees included cereal researcher Dr. Ron DePauw,  former Saskatchewan Premier Grant Devine, Canadian winemaking pioneer Anthony von Mandl, and the late Ovila Lebel - an egg farmer from Quebec.

The 2015 Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place Sunday at the Hotel Saskatchewan in Regina.
