Theft Under $5000

On April 28th at 09:59 am staff from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue reported a female stole $200 worth of cosmetics and clothing and fled the store.  An 18-year-old female was located a few blocks away and arrested. The stolen items were returned to the business. The accused will appear in court on July 8th, 2024.

Intoxicated Persons

On April 28th at 10:59 am a resident on Lily Crescent reported a female under the influence of drugs was waving a knife around in the back lane and getting close to a dog. A 25-year-old intoxicated female was arrested in the area. No knife was located and thankfully no dog was injured. The female will be released in the morning.

On April 28th at 11:23 am a resident in the 100 block of Frederick Street called to report a female snooping around his garage and yelling at him to give her dog back. A 26-year-old female was arrested in the area as she was found to be under the influence of drugs. No dog had been kidnapped. She will be released in the morning.

Arrest Warrant

On April 28th at 4:08 pm Police conducted a pedestrian check in the 800 block of Victoria Avenue. A 67-year-old male was arrested as he had an outstanding warrant for impaired driving. He was released for court on May 30th, 2024.

Theft of Vehicle

On April 28th at 05:15 am a 60-year-old female called to report a family member had stolen her vehicle from the 4100 block of McTavish Avenue. At 4:08pm police arrested a 34-year-old male in possession of the vehicle. The accused was released for court on July 8th, 2024.

Fail to comply with release order.

On April 29th at 00:07 am Police were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 700 block of 9th street. An 18-year-old intoxicated male was arrested as he was found to be out past his curfew. He will be released in the morning for court on July 8th, 2024.

Possession of Break In Tools.

On April 29th at 02:24 am Police received an alarm call from a business in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue. A 31-year-old was arrested as he had broken a window to enter the business and was located sleeping inside. He was found to have a prybar and hammer in his possession. He will be released in the morning for court on July 8th, 2024.

Break In’s

On April 28th at 06:56 am Police received an alarm called from a business in the 1000 block of Lorne Avenue. Suspects entered through a boarded-up window. It does not appear that anything was stolen. No one was located inside. This matter is still under investigation.

 On April 29th at 04:08 am Police received an alarm call at a business in the 200 block of Rosser Avenue. Officers arrived and found the front door window had been smashed. Suspects attempted to steal an E bike but were unsuccessful. This matter is still under investigation.

On April 29th at 04:31 am Police received a report from a business owner in the 100 block of 17th street north that the front window had been smashed. Suspects entered the business and stole a dark blue Live and Bolen E bike valued at $4899 and another bike which police did not have the particulars on at the time of this release. This matter is still under investigation.
