The Winnipeg Jets clinched third place in the National Hockey League's North Division and will face the Edmonton Oilers in round one of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Connor Hellebuyck made 24 saves as the Jets blanked the Vancouver Canucks 5-0 Tuesday night at Bell MTS Place snapping a seven-game home ice losing streak.

It was the reigning Vezina Trophy winner's fourth shutout of the season and first at home.

Winnipeg captain Blake Wheeler had two goals and two assists.

Kyle Connor, Mark Scheifele and Mason Appleton also scored for the Jets (29-23-3) who will play their regular season finale Friday night at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Scheifele reached the 60-point plateau for the sixth consecutive season.

Winnipeg forward Paul Stastny played in his 1,000th career game Tuesday night.
