August 22-26 will be the annual Vacation Bible School at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Boissevain.

Organizers are pleased with how many registrations have come in so far.

Darci Hildebrand is one of the VBS coordinators and she says the school runs every day between 9:00 a.m. and 12 noon. “We have 70 students registered so far and about the same number of volunteers.”

Youth show up at the church and the first day is sign in day and that starts at 8:30 a.m. with the program starting a short time later.

“If they want to come for a couple of days or for the whole week we are excited to have them. We’re really happy with the numbers and at the end a few more always trickle in a little faster as people get their summer plans finalized.” said Hildebrand.

The year’s program is called Momentum and includes arts and crafts, music time, snacks and bible study learning. “The kids will be kept busy and will have a great time and will come home tired.”

Darci Hildebrand adds it isn’t too late to register. She encourages anyone interested in VBS in Boissevain to call her at 204-534-8701.
