Branigan Ferland had three goals and four assists as the Vincent Massey Vikings downed the Roblin/Grandview/Gilbert Plains Raiders 9-3 in the lone Westman High School Hockey League game. 


The Brandon Wheat Kings lost in overtime for the eighth time this season. Sloan Stanick potted the winner 65 seconds into OT to lift the Prince Albert Raiders past Brandon 4-3 at Westoba Place. Nolan Ritchie, Dawson Pasternak and Luke Shipley did the goal scoring for the Wheat Kings. Mason Beaupit made 31 saves and Owen Pederson had two goals and an assist as the Winnipeg Ice beat Swift Current 4-2.


Mark Scheifele scored twice and Connor Hellebuyck made 50 saves as the Winnipeg Jets downed the N.Y. Rangers 4-1 at Madison Square Garden. Pierre-Luc Dubois and Kyle Connor also scored for the Jets who wrap up their four-game road trip Wednesday against the N.Y. Islanders.


Daniel Torgersson had a goal and an assist and Henri Nikkanen recorded three helpers as Manitoba defeated the Grand Rapids Griffins 5-1 at Canada Life Centre. Oskari Salminen stopped 22 shots in net for the Moose. 


Brianne Jenner had a goal and two assists as Canada beat the United States 5-1 in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec evening the Rivalry Series at three wins apiece. Marie-Philip Poulin scored Canada’s final goal with 1:05 remaining, recording the 200th point of her international career. She is the fifth player to reach the milestone with Team Canada, joining Danielle Goyette, Jayna Hefford, Caroline Ouellette and Hayley Wickenheiser. The seventh and final game of the Rivalry Series goes Wednesday in Laval, Quebec. 


Colton Lott & Kadriana Lott defeated Lyall Hudson & Lisa McLeod 10-4 in Mondays final of the Provincial Mixed Doubles Championship at the St. Vital Curling Club in Winnipeg. It's the second time Lott & Lott have won the provincial final. The 2023 Canadian Mixed Doubles Championship will be held March 21st-26th in Sudbury, Ontario. 


Kerri Einarson has a 5-0 record, Jennifer Jones is 3-1, Kaitlyn Lawes is 2-1 and Meghan Walter is 1-3 at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Kamloops.


Manitoba's first medal at the 2023 Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island was won Monday in table tennis. Winnipeg's Victoria Lee and Grace Qi earned silver medals in female doubles. It's Team Manitoba's first table tennis medal since 2011.
