The Boissevain Broncos beat the Alonsa/McCreary Mavericks 26-24, 25-23 in the final of the Souris Sabres varsity boys volleyball tournament. The MacGregor Mustangs swept the host Cougars 25-16, 25-15 in the final of the Carberry varsity boys volleyball tournament. The Reston Tigers defeated the Virden Bears 25-14, 25-14 in the final of the Hamiota Huskies junior varsity girls volleyball tournament. 


Xavier Mowbray had three goals and two assists as the defending Westman High School Hockey League champion Major Pratt Trojans defeated the Virden Golden Bears 7-1. Nairn Cooper potted the tying goal with 48 seconds left in regulation and then scored the only goal of the shootout as the Reston/Elkhorn/Melita/Pierson Renegades edged the Glenboro/Carberry/Baldur Wildcats 4-3. Zachary Lamb scored twice and Jacob Willman had three assists in the Minnedosa/Erickson Chancellor's 5-1 victory over the Deloraine/Hartney Colts. William Miner had two goals and three assists as the Dauphin Clippers defeated the Vincent Massey Vikings 7-1 and Chael Rozdeba had two goals and two helpers as the Hamiota/Rivers/Elton/Strathclair Huskies downed the Crocus Plainsmen 7-2.


Micky Gross made 40 saves as the Southwest Cougars downed the Interlake Lightning 5-3 in Teulon. Nate Robson, Drew Shiels, Bryan Laing, Dawson Andries and Jayce Thompson did the goal scoring for the Cougars who lead 2-1 and 4-2 at the period breaks. 


Madison Blaine scored twice and Hallie Franklin had three assists as the Westman Wildcats beat the Interlake Lightning 5-1 in Stonewall. Kelsey Huibers, Paige Kozak and Brooklyn Franklin also scored for the defending Manitoba Female U18 AAA Hockey League champions. Grace Glover made 20 saves in net for the Wildcats. 


The Manitoba Moose completed a perfect weekend road trip on Sunday. Mikey Eyssimont had a goal and two assists as Manitoba downed the Rockford IceHogs 6-3. Manitoba scored at least five goals in every game this past weekend. The Moose beat the Chicago Wolves 5-2 on Friday and the Milwaukee Admirals 5-2 on Saturday. 


Rachel Homan and Niklas Edin won the Grand Slam of Curling's Tour Challenge in Grande Prairie. Homan defeated three-time reigning Canadian champion Kerri Einarson 8-4 in the women's final while Edin downed Matt Dunstone 7-3 in the men's final. Third Oskar Eriksson threw the final two rocks in the championship game as Edin reaggravated a knee injury prior to Saturday’s semifinals.
