The past year has been filled with words like "restrictions"..."masks"..."distancing"...but one thing we've learned, is that nothing can restrict an artists creativity. Christine Paddock recently reached out to us -- she's a music teacher, and church worship leader, who lives on 5 acres of prairie with her husband and 3 boys near Rivers, Manitoba.  Songwriting has been a personal passion of Christine’s for over 20 years. Her songs help her express and process her emotions, but they are rarely heard outside of her own living room – until now. Six weeks into the first lockdown in 2020, Christine wrote her debut single, ‘Strange Times’ to put words to the feelings and questions that arose from our collective experience with Covid-19.  In August 2020 she was encouraged by Canadian songwriter and worship leader, Brian Doerksen, and Manitoba musician Jaylene Johnson to have her song professionally produced. We gave Christine a call to find out more about how the song "Strange Times" came to be, starting with her connection with Brian Doerksen...

And the story behind the song...
