With just a couple of months to go before the end of the year, our friends at Operation Christmas Child are gearing up for another successful campaign across Canada.

Shoeboxes are given as unconditional gifts regardless of the child’s race, religion or gender.

Operation Christmas Child Director Randy Crosson was our guest Tuesday on the Morning Show. He spoke with Chris Sumner about the effort of shoebox packing and delivering, and its importance.

We then turned our attention to the nuts and bolts of how to pack a shoebox, plus Randy reflecting on just how many shoeboxes were packed last year.

Did you know since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and distributed more than 123 million shoeboxes? Did you also know in 2014 Canadians packed 700,000 shoeboxes for children in need around the world?

By the way national shoebox collection week is November 16th to 22nd.
