The Winnipeg Jets are heading into the Christmas break having lost three of their last four games and all three have been on home ice.

Tomas Tatar and Phillip Danault had two goals each in the Montreal Canadiens 6-2 victory over Winnipeg on Monday night at Bell MTS Place.

Max Domi and Artturi Lehkonen also scored for the Habs.

Kyle Connor and Patrik Laine replied for the Jets who head into the break in third place in the Central Division with a record of 21-14-2.

Laine has five goals in his last five games.

Winnipeg goaltender Laurent Brossoit faced 48 shots while Canadiens netminder Carey Price made 27 saves.

The Jets first game back from the Christmas break is Friday night at home against the defending Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues.
