On May 21st Nova Scotian (now living in Victoria) Ian Bos set out on a cross country trek from the east coast to west in memory of his late father Ted who passed in January after a brave fight

with cancer.

Ian's Walk for End of Life Care is in honour of the excellent care his dad received from the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia and will benefit palliative care groups and associations across the country.

Ian will arrive in Manitoba in Mid-August with a number of stops planned throughout the province, and right now he's trekking through Northern Ontario along Lake Superior.

We caught up with Ian Tuesday morning just before he set out for another day of walking, about 30 km's per day by the way, and began our chat with the story behind this effort.

We also asked Ian what he thinks about as he puts one foot in front of the other.

We continued our conversation with Ian discussing the response he's received so far, 69 days in and nearly 2,700 kilometers behind him.

Ian's Walk for End of Life Care will reach Manitoba August 19th. Planned stops include Ste. Anne, Winnipeg, Carman, MacGregor, Brandon, and Virden.
