Reporter Cory Knutt spoke with Dr. Idris Elbakri, President of the Manitoba Islamic Association.

Many Southern Manitoba communities in recent months have welcomed refugee families or the Muslim faith.

With the Canadian government's commitment to welcome even more refugee families, many from Syria and other Muslim countries, there has been much conversation about the similarities between that faith and Christianity.

The Saturday afternoon presentation gave people a place to ask questions of those who are respected in the Muslim community, and One of the questions asked was what is the Muslim view of Jesus Christ.
