For former Winnipeg resident and now British Columbia MLA Michelle Stilwell, September 7th to the 18th will be a huge personal milestone. It will be her fourth Paralympics, and third consecutive Games competing in wheelchair racing.

Michelle is one of the fastest women on the planet in wheelchair racing, and currently holds the world record in the 100m, 200m and the 800m in the T-52 class.

Morning Show Co-Host Chris Sumner caught up with Michelle Tuesday, and asked if there was a specific moment when she decided she wanted to compete in the 2016 Rio Paralympics.

Michelle, who has family that lives in Altona, also spoke about the events she will be competing in this year, the competition she's expecting to face and what her goals are for the games.

We continued the conversation with Michelle reflecting on whether the feeling of competing at the highest level of amateur sport has changed for her.

Michelle will be leaving soon for Rio and the 2016 Paralympics, and will be competing in the 100m and 400m wheelchair races in the T-52 class. Good Luck and Go Canada Go!
