It's the novelization of one Southern Manitoba family's story of finding out their young daughter has epilepsy, and the impact of her seizures on their life.

Morden's Monica Friesen has written “And We All Fall Down”, her first book. It's the compelling story of her family's journey with epilepsy.

Monica joined us Thursday on the Morning Show to talk about the book, why she wrote it and the feedback she's receiving from other families living with the chronic disease.

The book is about the Kornelson family, and much of what they experience is based on what happened to Monica's family, specifically her daughter Jessica who was diagnosed with Epilepsy.

We continued the conversation with what prompted Monica to take the leap and put her family's story to paper.

Monica also spoke to us about how writing this book, and reflecting on the experiences of her family, not all of them good, has been a cathartic experience for her.

The book is available at a number of locations including the website of Friesen Press, and Marni LuHu Designs in Morden.
