The YWCA in Brandon is celebrating a special milestone this year and is using the occasion to try and raise some money.

As of 2017, the YWCA Brandon has been serving the Westman community for 110 years. For over a century, their facilities have been providing Brandon and the Westman area with an essential service:

caring for the women, men and children;
who are most vulnerable in our community.

The YWCA Brandon relies heavily on the support of donations from the community in order to maintain the important services we provide such as operating our Transitional Homeless Shelter as well as the Westman Women's Shelter which cares for women and their children who are fleeing from domestic abuse.

“We are trying to get 110 people to donate $110 each and that will generate just over $12,000 for the YWCA” said BJ Kirouac a staff member with the YWCA in Brandon.

So far the campaign has brought in about $4,000.
