Prairie Mountain Health and Brandon Fire and Emergency Services report that one of its ambulance units was involved in an accident Thursday morning on the Trans Canada west of Elie.

 

Due to slippery road conditions and extreme wind gusts, a Brandon Fire and Emergency Services ambulance en route to Winnipeg, left the highway and rolled. There were 5 occupants in the vehicle – one a patient. Prairie Mountain Health will not be releasing any specific details regarding any injuries sustained as a result.

 

RCMP are completing their investigation into the accident. Prairie Mountain Health and Brandon Fire and Emergency Services will also be investigating the incident.
