Harvesting continues in parts of Southwester Manitoba.

While conditions remain wet in many areas producers continue to work at getting corn, canola and some cereals harvested.

“I'd say about 60 percent of the corn is harvested, less than five percent of the canola remains to be taken off and about 99 percent of the cereal crop has been harvested this fall” said Manitoba Agriculture's Lionel Kaskiw. He said harvesting had stalled a bit in late October but really picked up this past weekend.

“Conditions are favourable for farmers to wrap up their harvest and it seems yields this year vary but overall haven't been too bad.”
