Spring Break is finally here and there are only 3 months left of the 2015/2016 school year.

Grant Wiesner, has been Assistant Superintendent of Student Services for the Turtle Mountain School Division since December 1st of 2015. He has been teaching for a total of 20 years, 14 of them with the TMSD.  His teaching in the Killarney School went from being a Grade 8 home room teacher to being involved with High School Services. Since his new position as Assistant Superintendent, he says working with staff in the various schools has been very rewarding over the past 4 months, but extremely different than teaching in the classroom.

Recently he spoke to the various changes in our school system, technology being one of the most significant changes.

Wiesner says he has seen much change in his 20 years of teaching, especially in the area of technology. But it must be viewed and used as a tool and not as a means to replace good teaching in the classroom.

Classes will resume for Killarney School on Monday, April 4th.  All other schools in the Turtle Mountain School Division will begin on Tuesday, April 5th.  There are only 3 months left of school until summer holidays!
