The southeast corner of the Keystone Centre grounds will be bustling with activity this weekend with the 31st edition of the Brandon Folk, Music & Art Festival.

Artistic Director Shandra MacNeill says there will be about 35 different musicians taking the stage over the three-day event.

She says the festival has something to offer for everyone.

“That's one of the things that I think we're most proud of is the diversity in our audience," explained MacNeill. "Whether that's the fact that it's a multicultural audience or the age diversity. We have a really good number, probably about 45 per cent of our audience is between 18 and 30, so there's enough young people to make it exciting for young people. We also have a lot of people who are over that and a few that are under that.”

MacNeill notes they will also have half a dozen food vendors setup at the event.

The Brandon Folk Festival is made possible with the help of about 140 volunteers.

The event runs Friday through Sunday.
