Organizers with the Relay for Life at the International Peace Garden have put out the call for more teams.

The event, south of Boissevain, will take place on October 1st.

“We have 3 teams so far and would love to have more people participating in the relay.” said Deanna Danielson a fund raising coordinator with the Canadian Cancer Society.

“We had a few more teams but they had to back out due to other commitments.”

The relay will run from 2:00pm to 7:00pm and Danielson says the day will be filled with activities and fun for people of all ages.

Anyone interest in participating or getting a team entered can contact Ivy Turner in Boissevain or Deanna Danielson with the Cancer Society in Brandon.

“We are going ahead no matter how many teams and we just hope to see a big crowd out to support this important event.”
