September 6, 2016

Police received a report of disturbing the peace in Boissevain the morning after it occurred. The complainant did not want follow up or charges. Police advised the complainant to call 911 in an emergency next time for immediate service.

September 7, 2016

Police received a report of a hit and run to the patio fence at the Erin Inn Bar in Killarney. A loud noise was heard and the complainant observed a grey station wagon (unknown make/model or licence plate) reverse into the patio fence, damaging it in the process. After the collision, the vehicle took off and jumped the curb, heading towards the Shamrock Centre on Broadway Avenue. The complainant did not see who was driving the vehicle. The complainant later advised that he was paid for the damages and the matter concluded.

Police were dispatched to a report of a woman in distress in Neelin. The complainant advised that she had left her two dogs in her truck while it was running. The dogs accidentally locked doors and she couldn't access the truck. Police attended the scene and she advised that she had gotten a hold of a friend who had the tools to open the truck without causing any damage.

Police assisted with a matter under the Family Relations Act in Killarney. Both parties were advised to contact Child and Family Services in the future regarding drop off/pick up of children.

Killarney RCMP were dispatched to a complaint of failing to comply with a court order in Ninette. The matter was unfounded.

September 9, 2016

Police received a report of a black truck travelling near a residence in the Killarney-Turtle Mountain municipality. The vehicle was driving erratically and fish tailing. Police patrolled the area and will continue frequent patrols.

September 10, 2016

Police received a report of someone finding a road pylon left in front of a residence in Ninga. Police returned the pylon to its proper location north of Ninga. That's correct folks, pylon - not Python - cops are not trained to deal with snakes......well......that kind anyways!!!

Police received a report of suspicious persons in Cartwright. The suspicious vehicle did not have license plates and took off when the complainant arrived at work. Matter was documented and reported for information.

Police were dispatched to a report of a vehicle on fire just east of Baldur. Police arrived and fire department was on scene. The driver was issued tickets for not having a valid drivers license or registration. The vehicle was towed.

Police received a third party complaint of a possible impaired driver in Ninette. An unknown female in her 40's, opened a bottle of wine and poured it in a to-go mug. The female then left in a grey vehicle, unknown make/model/licence plate, heading north on highway. 18. No further information was provided. Police patrolled the area but the vehicle was not located.

Police assisted with a civil matter in the Cartwright-Roblin area.

Police received a report of theft in Waskada. The matter is under investigation.

Police received an anonymous report of a female driving without insurance or a driver's license in Killarney. The matter is being investigated.

Child Abuse Registry checks are NOT done through the RCMP. Please call 1-800-282-8069 for any information on the Child Abuse Registry. Criminal Record Checks and Vulnerable Sector Searches: Our goal is to complete these checks in a timely manner, however please plan ahead as they can take up to 3 weeks to complete. People are reminded they themselves can only request and pick up their own checks and are asked to bring two pieces of identification, one photo.

Please also remember that Criminal Checks and Vulnerable Sector Searches for volunteers must provide a letter from the organization stating their volunteer status or there will be a $10.00 fee.

Criminal Record Checks for employment are $10.00 each.

Police would like to remind the public that if anyone requires fingerprinting services, they must make an appointment at the Killarney RCMP detachment. Drop-ins cannot be accommodated.

We would like to advise that the business hours of operation at the Killarney Detachment are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday

NEW HOURS FOR THE BOISSEVAIN OFFICE: The Boissevain RCMP business hours are Monday to Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No office staff on Fridays.

The Deloraine RCMP business hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday are 8:30 to 3:00 p.m.

The general public is encouraged to attend during those hours to ensure someone will be here. It is also recommended to call ahead, however, in the event of an emergency, call 911 or the emergency line.
