Officials at the International Peace Garden, south of Boissevain, are taking steps to make sure visitors keep coming to the Garden in 2016.

CEO Garry Enns says they want to fill the gap between July 1st and July 4th and make it one continuous celebration at the Garden.

“We have lots of events to mark both days and we'd like to plan enough events for July 2nd and 3rd that people will keep coming out for the celebrations.”

The Peace Garden will kick off the summer season with its traditional Mother's Day Buffet.

“We had a good year in 2015 with close to 12,000 vehicles passing through the gates and we'd like to keep it going in 2016” said Enns.
