The Town of Neepawa is looking ahead to 2016. Mayor Adrian De Groot highlights some of the large projects they have in mind for the new year.

"Putting the shovel in the ground for the fire hall and putting the shovel in the ground for our force main sewer are definitely two capital projects that we want to see tangible results for in the coming year. That's really good for our community. It sets us in a good position to support the vision we want to have and make sure we are a part of that future."

De Groot explains council has a lot in mind for 2016 and they are making nature a priority.

"Something that is new that we have always talked about and we started some discussion and certainly want to put some traction on is looking at a Park Lake sustainability plan. We have a natural feature within our community called Park Lake so we need to put together a sustainability plan . We want to create the natural environment, maintain it and sustain it for future youth."
