The Conservatives have election a new interim leader and Brandon-Souris MP Larry Maguire says she'll do a good job.

The Tory caucus members elected Alberta MP Rona Ambrose as interim leader.

Maguire says she'll be busy keeping the government accountable and working to rebuild the conservative party.

Maguire also had praise for Justin Trudeau's ministerial picks for Manitoba.

He says Jim Carr and MaryAnn Mihychuk both have lots of experience and will do a good job.
