Mennonite Central Committee (M.C.C.) of Manitoba is set to introduce a new fundraising event.  FallFest 2015 replaces the annual Relief Sale which was held in Morris for 35 years, until last September.  It was felt the annual fundraiser had run its course, and it was time to try something new.

That "something new" is FallFest, which will be held September 12th, at the Winkler festival grounds.  The event will include, music, kids entertainment, various educational venues about M.C.C., and an opportunity to donate to the work of M.C.C.

Brad Reimer Communications and Donor Relations Director for M.C.C. in Manitoba. Manitoba says the biggest change this year will be they way the run the auction.  "What we heard from a lot of people was, we don't need more stuff, we don't need to bid on something that we don't really need.  But they wanted things that reflective more of what M.C.C. stands for, building community, environmental, or things that were interactive that you could learn from."

Reimer says one example that meets that criteria is a two night stay for six people, plus meals, at the A Rocha Centre guest house.  There will also be an opportunity to bid on a custom made quilt.

FallFest 2015 will get underway at 10am and run until 4pm.
