Mayor Rick Pauls is pleased to announce town council has awarded the contract to place the water and sewage expansion within the community to provide water services to residents of Oak Point, looping the water line under Killarney Lake to the residents of Country Club Estates, and those that lives on the south side of the lake.

The project will also be providing a new lift station.

Mayor for the Municipality of Killarney-Turtle Mountain, Rick Pauls, says the cost of the project is well under the estimated amount budgeted.

Town council estimated the project was to cost 2.8 million dollars and have awarded the tender at 2.187 million, which is a significant savings from the original budget.

The project will be starting soon and is expected to be completed this summer, by June 30.
