It has been a very busy couple of days for Manitoba Hydro crews. Spokesperson Bruce Owen says the combination of rain, snow and wind has caused electrical outages for thousands of customers since Saturday.

"We've seen a number of outages caused by trees coming into contact with our lines, lines down, pole fires and what not. That's kept us hopping."

Owen says the most recent outages were early Monday morning for customers along power lines in the eastern side of the province. As of Monday afternoon more than 100 customers were still without power in various parts of Manitoba.

He adds with a forecast for more wet, windy weather this week, there is a good chance of more outages in the days ahead.
