Turtle Mountain Bible Camp, located between Boissevain and Deloraine, is hoping to attract hundreds of campers for the 2019 season.

In 2018 TMBC hosted a record number 670 people.

“We’ve just sent out our summer brochures to the organizations, churches and schools in the area and camper registrations will be posted online this week and staff applications are also online right now” said co-director of TMBC Kathy Weir.

At around 670 campers Weir says they are pretty much at capacity with that number.

“We usually have about 45 to 50 staff per week. It sounds like a lot but by the time you have two staff in every cabin and your janitors, maintenance, laundry and cooks and all those other things it takes a lot of people to run a week of camp.”

Work continues on the new dining hall and kitchen but Kathy Weir isn’t sure if it will be completed and in use for the 2019 camping season.
