Travel Manitoba in Boissevain-Morton has been busy this summer.

Dale Banman, economic development officer for Boissevain-Morton, says he's seeing Americans coming through every day, noting it was especially busy earlier this summer when the Women's World Cup was going on in Winnipeg.

Banman gives his thoughts on why US travellers are coming to town.

"They want to come to Canada, just so that they can say they've been in Canada," he said. "I think the Minot CVB (Convention & Visitors Bureau) does a good job in recommending Boissevain for us, because we are one of the closer communities in Manitoba."

Banman says a lot of tourists are stopping to look at the outdoor art gallery, which includes about 20 different outdoor murals. He notes the Arts Park and town-wide flower displays are also a big draw.

He adds people still love to stop at Tommy Turtle and hear him speak.
