All the signs point to another successful Manitoba Stampede and Exhibition.

The 52 annual event in Morris wrapped up on a warm and sunny Sunday afternoon where a large crowd came out to watch the popular Pony Chuckwagon and Chariot races.

"I think things went very well," said Valley Agriculture Society president Pat Schmidke. "We're very pleased with how everything rolled out as the weather held out for us, attendance was excellent and all the venues were well attended and there was lots of action and excitement. We're just very pleased with everything"

Things didn't look too positive Wednesday night when a rain muddied the track and forced the cancellation of the races on Thursday afternoon, but the rodeo went on as scheduled.

"The cowboys were very pleased with the facility, crowds and hospitality of Manitobans," said Schmidke.

He adds, final attendance numbers will be released later this week and the organizing committee will meet shortly to review this year's show and determine if any changes are needed for the 2016 stampede.
