They won their season opener last Saturday in Regina and now fans of the Winnipeg Football Club will be looking for another stellar performance when the Blue & Gold play their home opener tonight (7:30 p.m.) against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Investors Group Field.

"It's going to be super exciting," said Winnipeg receiver Julian Feoli-Guidino. "This place is going to be electric especially coming off the win. I hope the fans show up and I'm pretty sure we're going to have a blast on Thursday."

The Blue Bombers beat the Saskatchewan Roughriders 30-26 last weekend ending an 11-game losing skid at Mosiac Stadium which dated back to the 2004 CFL season.

Drew Willy completed 22-of-25 pass attempts for 325 yards and three touchdowns.

Willy, who did not throw an interception, was sacked just once by the Riders.

Winnipeg offensive tackle Stanley Bryant says the Tiger-Cats defense will be tough.

"Those guys are going to be fly around and give us different looks to try to confuse us," said Bryant. "But we've been in meetings taking notes and watching film, understanding things they like to do and things they don't like to do. We'll be prepared."

The Bombers gave up a couple of big runs to Jerome Messam, Nic Demski and Anthony Allen on Saturday.

Defensive back Johnny Adams, who picked off Kevin Glenn at the Winnipeg one-yard line, says they will make improvements.

"We've just got to be better in every aspect that we can get in. Tackling, covering, reading our keys - everything that we need to do in order to get better. This is a stepping stone and we got to just keep moving forward and keep the ball rolling."

Moe Leggett, who missed the season opener in Regina, will start at safety.

Receiver Addison Richards, who was selected 11th overall by the Bombers in the 2015 CFL Draft, will make his pro debut in place of Rory Kohlert who is still nursing a calf injury.
