The Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2-2) will wrap up their two-game Alberta road trip tonight (6 p.m.) against the Edmonton Eskimos (2-1) at Commonwealth Stadium.

One week ago the Bombers dropped a 26-25 decision to the Grey Cup champion Calgary Stampeders at McMahon Stadium.

"It was a tough pill to swallow, losing by one point," said Winnipeg receiver Darvin Adams. "We should have beat those guys. We just took the loss as a team. We''re not blaming it on nobody. We win together - we lose together."

Adams had a breakout game against the Stamps as he caught five passes from quarterback Drew Willy including a 79-yard catch and run for a touchdown in the third quarter.

"It feels good to have the coaches trust, Drew's trust and the offensive lineman's trust. It just feels good to have those guys trusting me and giving me a chance so I'm just happy about that."

Winnipeg head coach Mike O'Shea feels opposition defenses are at times making life difficult for his receiving corps of Adams, Clarence Denmark, Nick Moore and Rory Kohlert,

"It can be frustrating for them,” said O'Shea. “Clarence had a game where he basically wasn't targeted. Darvin's had a game where he wasn't targeted. Rory's had that game too and Nick Moore is a guy where he's slotted in - he's going to see a lot of action. It helps having the calibre of receivers we have. It helps that our protection is better and Drew's been money. I think by the end of the season they'll all be happy."

Eskimos running back Shakir Bell had a big game against the Ottawa REDBLACKS last week as he ran for 144 yards and Kendial Lawrence caught four passes for 92 yards including a 63-yard touchdown.

"Every week we just try to get better and better,” said Bombers linebacker Khalil Bass. “Win or lose - the goal is always the same to continue to improve. Hopefully we can have a better performance than we had last week."
