The Boissevain Border Kings are one win away from capturing the 2018-2019 Tiger Hills Hockey League championship.

Jeff Neufeld scored the tying goal with four minutes left in the third period and Jagger Thomas potted the winner 1:41 into overtime to lift the Border Kings past the Lakers 5-4 in Gladstone Wednesday night.

Boissevain leads the best-of-five final two games to none.

Eric Herbal, Dakota Scheirlinck and Darren Bestland also scored for the Border Kings who rallied from a 3-0 second period deficit.

Cory Yeroschak had a pair of goals for the defending champion Lakers while singles went to Trey Evenson and Nick Stire.

Game three goes Saturday (6 p.m.) in Boissevain.
