The Boissevain Broncos are Provincial “A” Varsity Girls High School Basketball champions for the second year in a row.

MVP Sarah Hallett poured in 38 points and Rachel Waldner added 20 as the Broncos defeated the Rosenort Redhawks 80-47 in the championship game Saturday afternoon at Boissevain School.

The hometeam team outscored the Redhawks 17-2 in the first quarter and never looked back.

The number one seeded Broncos, who edged Vita’s Shevchenko Sabres 62-58 in last years dramatic final in Rosenort, beat the Chemawawin Eagles 103-46 in the quarterfinals and then downed the Prairie Mountain Predators 71-54 in the semifinals.

Trinity and Faith Billaney were named Tournament All-Stars.
