Wednesday Chris was in Winnipeg at Prairie Livestock Expo, Mcing the Wingstix for Wishes chicken wing eating contest. Ten very brave individuals signed up to see how many deliciously sauced wings they could eat over two rounds... all in support of the Children’s Wish Foundation of Manitoba.

The organization grants wishes across the province, including here in Southern Manitoba, and Chris caught up with Development and Fundraising Coordinator Leila Dance.

The Children’s Wish Foundation of Manitoba is the chapter that started it all for the national organization which has been in existence for over 34 years.

And who won the chicken wing eating contest? It was Aaron Hofer... the 2016 Champion... who ate 40 wings, over two heats, in a matter of minutes. All the money raised yesterday will support the work of the Foundation, which is on pace to grant over 50 wishes this year to children facing difficult medical situations... including right here in Southern Manitoba.
