Seeding has nearly wrapped up in Manitoba.

In its latest crop report, Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Development is pegging seeding progress at about 97 per cent, with some canola fields being reseeded due to damage caused by weather and insects.

Producers are also busy with herbicide applications, however, field operations in some areas of the province were hampered by the recent precipitation.

Southern Manitoba is reporting above normal rainfall so far, while the northwest is dry.

There has been reports of hail in isolated areas, with minimal impact to crops. Assessments are on-going.
