G3 Canada will be contributing $75,000 over three years to support safety education in Canada's agriculture industry.

The Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA) will use the money towards its new grain safety program, which will begin with building and operating a mobile demonstration unit in the prairie provinces.

“G3 is investing in the safety of farmers and their families," says Marcel Hacault, CASA's Executive Director. "This contribution, one of the single largest from agribuisness, shows G3's outstanding commitment to farm safety."

The mobile unit will have three purposes which include training first responders in grain extraction procedures, bringing awareness to the general public about the dangers of grain entrapment and providing on-site training to workplaces.

“G3 is thrilled to partner with CASA on the Grain Safety Program. At G3, safety is one of our top priorities – we believe that no job is so important that it can’t be done safely,” says Karl Gerrand, CEO of G3 Canada Limited. “Grain entrapment is entirely preventable, and we need to keep building awareness around safe practices for storing and maintaining grain until we reach zero fatalities in Canada.”
